Mental Health Awareness Week
This week saw the whole school (plus parents!!) take part in activities designed to boost our mental health awareness and give us strategies to help us regulate our emotions. We were joined by a huge host of outside professionals who helped to facilitate the week by volunteering their time and expertise in teaching us about meditation, mindfulness, reiki, yoga, reading for relaxation, healthy eating, and emotional resilience to name but a few. Our fabulous Manor staff also helped to support the children and parents in learning about healthy bodies for healthy minds, creativity, stress soothers, forest school and emotional coaching too - please see our Facebook page for the full set of photos! We have so far had some excellent feedback from the week and although we are very proud to have been able to support our school family with this project, we certainly don't see this as the end of our work on mental health awareness. We have lots of plans in the pipeline for the future, but would love to hear any suggestions you may have as to how to take this forward so please do let us know if you think there's something we could do either in classes or as a whole-school.
