We are Artists!

Taking inspiration from Louise Nevelson (1899- 1988), an American sculptor, Penguins class have created their own 'assemblages'.

In Art, we have been taking inspiration from Louise Nevelson (1899- 1988) an American sculptor. She is most famous for her large, wooden sculptures that were often one colour. Using her ideas of manipulating materials, we created our own ‘assemblage relief sculptures’ with shapes that have meaning to us.

Have a look at our wonderful sculptures - how have we manipulated our materials? Have we used any patterns? How have we created a 3D effect?
